Overview

TeckOS is a property-management platform used by operators (landlords, property managers, management companies) to run their portfolios and, where enabled, to communicate with their tenants. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your information.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly — including name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and lease and tenancy details. We also collect operational data generated through use of the service, such as document uploads, payment history, and maintenance requests. If you choose to connect a financial account, we collect information retrieved through Plaid as described in the “Financial account connections” section below. We collect limited technical information (IP address, browser, device) to secure and operate the service.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the service, authenticate users, process payments, reconcile rental income and operating expenses against lease ledgers, surface portfolio and tenancy insights to the account owner, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Financial account connections (Plaid)

If you choose to connect a bank account to TeckOS, we use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to securely retrieve information from your financial institution. When you connect an account through Plaid Link, you authorize Plaid to collect your account credentials, account and routing numbers, account balances, and transaction history, and to share that information with TeckOS.

We use this information solely to reconcile rental income and operating expenses against your lease ledgers and to provide reporting and insights to you, the account owner who connected the account. We do not sell, rent, or share Plaid-derived financial data with third parties for their own marketing or independent purposes.

Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy. You can disconnect a linked account at any time from within TeckOS or by contacting support@teckos.com.

Data sharing

We share information with service providers who help us operate the service (hosting, analytics, authentication, payments, messaging, and financial account connectivity (Plaid)), with property operators for their own tenants where the operator is the data controller, and where required by law. We do not share your phone number or other personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your information by contacting support@teckos.com. You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws; we honor valid requests under those laws.

Data retention and deletion

We retain personal and financial information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a financial account, request deletion, or close your TeckOS account, we delete the associated personal and Plaid-derived financial data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. You can request deletion at any time by contacting support@teckos.com.
